About the Role
We’re looking for a Field Sales Territory Manager to lead and grow a team of freelance Field Sales Consultants across Munster.
👉 Please note: This is a permanent, full-time employee position.You will manage a team of freelance Field Sales Consultants, but your own contract is not freelance.
As Field Sales Territory Manager for Munster, you'll lead a team of up to 20 freelance field sales consultants across one of Ireland's most commercially significant territories, covering Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Tipperary, and Waterford. From busy city centres to thriving commuter towns, this territory is full of opportunity across hospitality, retail, and services. You'll report to the Head of Field Sales and be the key driver of growth, performance, and team culture across the region.
Your Mission
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 16–20 freelance field sales consultants through joint field visits, structured feedback, and clear performance routines
Recruit and onboard new freelance consultants consistently, building a connected and motivated team that stays engaged despite self-employment
Drive regional revenue growth across terminal sales, POS register sales, and multi-product referrals in line with the business plan
Track and act on key performance metrics - including quota attainment, customer acquisition cost, and sales cycle length - to keep the team on target
Champion SumUp's values across the region, creating a culture of accountability, energy, and continuous improvement
About You
3+ years experience in managing freelance or self-employed field sales teams, ideally in fintech, merchant services, utilities, or similar industries.
Hands-on field sales experience with strong commercial and leadership acumen.
Excellent communication, motivation, and coaching skills, with a track record of driving performance remotely.
Confident using data and KPIs to guide decisions and optimise results.
Self-driven and adaptable, able to manage a wide geograph
