Client Accountant

Mitchell Adam is currently working in partnership with a highly regarded property business located in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. They are seeking an experienced Interim Client Accountant to support their finance team during a busy period, initially for a 3-month contract with potential for extension.

In this position, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of client properties. Key responsibilities include reconciling service charges, preparing and amending budgets, processing recharges, and assisting with year-end financial activities. On a monthly basis, you will also deliver tailored reporting for clients covering accruals, prepayments, profit and loss statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Ideally, you will

Be a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, actively seeking career progression, previous experience in a property management finance team is preferred not required.

Have previous experience working with accruals and prepayments, month end and some financial reporting.

Hold strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with clients and senior stakeholders

Be proficient in Excel and comfortable using bespoke financial systems
