Are you someone who enjoys understanding how technology works, solving problems and helping businesses get more value from the systems they use every day?

We’re supporting a successful organisation looking to add an Applications Support Specialist to their IT team. This is a varied role where you’ll work across a broad range of business applications, supporting users, improving processes and helping ensure technology continues to support the needs of the organisation.

This opportunity would suit someone with experience in application support, business systems, SaaS administration or a similar technology role who enjoys variety and wants to continue developing their technical skills.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of platforms including Salesforce, supporting users, system administration, troubleshooting and ongoing improvements. You won’t be expected to know every system inside out; the key is having the curiosity, problem-solving ability and mindset to learn quickly.

What you’ll be doing

Providing application support to users across the business, resolving issues and helping people get the most from their systems

Managing user access, permissions and day-to-day system administration activities

Investigating issues, identifying root causes and working with internal teams or external suppliers to resolve problems

Supporting Salesforce and other key business applications across the organisation

Assisting with system updates, testing and improvements to existing functionality

Helping maintain accurate system documentation, processes and user guidance

Supporting data queries, reporting and system investigations

Building strong relationships with stakeholders and acting as a trusted point of contact for application support

Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce recurring issues and enhance the user experience

What we’re looking for

Experience in application support, IT support, systems administration or a similar role

Comfortable working across multiple applications and learning new technologies quickly

Understanding of SaaS platforms, user administration and system configuration

Some experience with SQL, reporting tools or data investigation would be beneficial

Strong troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to problem solving

A confident communicator who can support both technical and non-technical users

Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities

Someone who enjoys taking ownership and finding better ways of doing things

Desirable experience

Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM/business applications

Experience supporting cloud-based software platforms

Working with software suppliers, licences or application upgrades

Familiarity with IT service management processes

An interest in automation, integrations or process improvement
