Business Manager | Charity | £60,000 - £65,000 Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST) who are a charity based in Kenilworth (near Coventry).
They are looking for a Business Manager to cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months.
Founded in 1973 RBST are a charity who champion our native livestock and equine breeds, whether sheep, cattle, pigs or poultry, as sustainable alternatives to the intensively farmed breeds that have come to dominate our countryside in recent decades. This helps shape our landscapes, strengthen biodiversity, and future-proof farming. Through their Watchlist, Gene Bank, advocacy, research, training and consultancy, they protect precious bloodlines and help them thrive.
Role This opportunity is reporting into their CEO and will be managing the Finance, Marketing and Operations team, with total line management responsibility of 5 heads.
From a day to day perspective this will be focused on ensuring delivery of 6-7 work streams as well as motivating and managing the team. They have HR support externally, so HR experience isn't required, BUT as with any management role it is always helpful. Specific examples in role include data analysis and project management of an office refurbishment which is currently around 50% complete.
Prior experience as an Operations/ Business Manager, or Project Management within a smaller organisation would fit well to this requirement, ideally within a charity setting.
Overview - £60,000 - £65,000 - Hybrid working – 2 days per week based on site - RBST, Stoneleigh Business Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2LG
Minimum Requirements - Experience managing, developing and motivating a medium sized team (3+ heads) - Operational experience, ideally overseeing multi discipline teams (such as HR, Marketing, Operations, Finance etc) - Experience within a broad role in a sub 10m turnover organisation - Experience within a not for profit/ public sector organisation - Immediately available/ able to start a new role within 4 weeks’ notice
