The Role We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to take ownership of a key London & East London territory. This is a field-based, customer-facing sales role focused on winning new business and growing existing accounts across a well-established product range within the construction and industrial sector.
You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with contractors, merchants, distributors, and end users, identifying project opportunities and converting them into profitable sales.
This is a highly autonomous role where success is driven by your ability to build relationships, manage your territory effectively, and close business consistently. Key Responsibilities
Identify and win new business across London & East London
Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers
Build strong relationships with contractors, merchants, and distributors
Deliver product presentations and on-site demonstrations
Follow up project leads and convert opportunities into sales
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline reporting
Represent the business at client meetings and site visits
About You We are looking for someone who is:
Proven in a B2B sales or business development role
Confident in a field-based, autonomous environment
Strong at relationship building and closing deals
Ideally experienced in construction, industrial, or technical sales (not essential)
Highly motivated and target driven
Organised with strong territory management skills
Holds a full UK driving licence (essential)
