Job Description

Team description

The Click & Mortar team is responsible for growing SumUp's retail presence across Europe, working closely with key retailers, distributors, and sales agencies to put SumUp products in front of millions of customers. As our Business Development Manager for Iberia, you'll take full ownership of two of our most important retail markets —Spain and Portugal— managing key retailer relationships and driving commercial performance across the region. This is a high-impact, autonomous role for someone who knows the Iberia retail landscape well and is ready to drive its growth.

What you'll do

Build and manage relationships with key retail partners across Iberia, including buyers and purchasing directors, to drive joint business plans and commercial growth

Coordinate and lead our commercial structure in the region, including sales agencies and distributors, ensuring alignment on targets, stock, and operational activities

Work closely with Trade Marketing and Marketing Development teams to maximise in-store visibility, promotional impact, and product readiness

Manage end-to-end budget control, sales forecasting, and business reporting to ensure operational excellence across the Iberia market

Identify and pursue opportunities to expand SumUp's retail footprint — adding new retailers, increasing product listings, and securing wider distribution

You'll be great for this role if…

Strong background in business development, key account management, or retail sales within FMCG or Consumer Electronics, with direct experience in the Iberia market.

Proven track record of negotiating and managing joint business plans with retail buyers or purchasing directors.

Fluency in Spanish (mother tongue or equivalent) and strong business-level English — both are essential for this role. Portuguese is a plus.

Comfortable leading cross-functional coordination across logistics, supply chain, and commercial teams
