Business Development Manager — Managed IT & Cyber Security

About us
Cloudscape is a London-based Managed Service Provider with 25 years behind us and a team of around 30 specialists. We're a Microsoft Solutions Partner, and we run dedicated teams across strategic advisory (vCIO), cyber security, infrastructure and cloud, project delivery and service desk.
We work with ambitious SMEs across London - from finance and professional services to creative and PR agencies - keeping their technology secure, productive, and aligned to where their business is heading. We're growing and we're looking for a salesperson who can grow with us.
The role
This is a true new-business hunter role. We currently have a team generating qualified appointments that are ready for first time appointments so there is a constant pipeline of appointments being built weekly. Beyond that you'll own the full sales cycle: attending FTAs, running discovery conversations, building proposals alongside our technical teams and closing recurring-revenue contracts for managed IT support and cyber security services.
The focus is monthly recurring revenue. We want someone who understands that a signed managed-services contract is the start of a long client relationship, not a one-off win and who can articulate the value of proactive IT and security to business owners and decision-makers.
What you'll be doing
Building a pipeline of SME prospects across sectors - finance, professional services, creative and beyond
Running face-to-face discovery and pitch meetings with prospects across London
Working with our vCIO, cyber and infrastructure teams to scope solutions and build compelling proposals
Selling managed IT support, cyber security and project services on a recurring-revenue model
Owning your numbers - forecasting accurately and consistently hitting MRR targets
Representing Cloudscape with credibility and professionalism in every client interaction
What we're looking for
Essential
Proven sales track record within the MSP / managed IT services space
Demonstrable history of building monthly recurring revenue from managed service contracts and cyber security
Experience selling to SMEs across a range of sectors (finance through to creative)
Confident running face-to-face client meetings and comfortable presenting to business owners and senior decision-makers
Strong commercial instinct - able to qualify hard, build value and close
Self-motivated, organised and target-driven
Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365, Azure) and modern cyber security services
An existing network within the London SME market
Experience working alongside technical / pre-sales teams on solution scoping
The important bit: this is an office-based role
This position is based at our London Bridge office, five days a week, with regular face-to-face client meetings across London including attending networking events and building strategic partnerships. We've built our culture around being together in the room - collaborating with the technical teams, sharing wins and being visible to clients.
This is not a remote or hybrid role, and we're not able to offer remote working. If being in the office every day and out meeting clients in person is how you do your best work, you'll fit right in.
