Job Duties

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.

Undertake commercial analysis and support effective balance sheet management.

Produce, interpret and analyse financial reports, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations to improve business performance.

Monitor asset and operational trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions where required.

Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and performance review packs.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Review operational performance and work alongside management teams to implement improvement plans.

Act as a key link between operational teams and support functions across the business.

Analyse KPIs and financial information to drive continuous improvement and performance.

Support half-year and year-end audit processes.

Undertake ad hoc reporting, analysis and project work as required.

Provide support across the wider finance team.

Who will I report into?

Senior Finance Manager.

When will interviews be taking place?

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, with applications being reviewed as they are received.

Ideal Experience

Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification.

Previous experience within a finance, accounts or assistant management accounting position.

Strong analytical and commercial awareness.

Experience preparing financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations.

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.

Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
