6-Month Fixed-Term Contract with Strong Potential to Become Permanent Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing business in Paisley to recruit an Accounts Assistant on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to join a supportive finance team, with a genuine opportunity for the role to become permanent.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to a broad range of finance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Posting and processing journals accurately and efficiently

Performing balance sheet and bank reconciliations

Assisting with month-end reporting processes

Investigating and resolving account discrepancies

Analysing financial data and identifying trends or anomalies

Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments

Managing sales ledger activities and raising invoices where required

Credit control support and customer account management

Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities

Assisting with audit preparation and year-end requirements

Producing ad hoc reports and analysis for senior management

About You

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant role

Strong understanding of journals, reconciliations and core accounting principles

Comfortable analysing financial information and investigating variances

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
