We're supporting a highly regarded financial services firm in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team. This position is ideal for someone with Accounts Payable experience who wants to build a broader accounting skillset and gain exposure to reporting, reconciliations and month-end activities.

While Accounts Payable sits at the heart of the role, you'll also have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of finance responsibilities, making it an excellent stepping stone for someone looking to progress their career within accounting. Responsibilities

Managing the Accounts Payable process and ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently

Supporting Accounts Receivable invoicing and debtor reporting

Performing bank reconciliations

Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments

Maintaining fixed asset records

Producing regular financial reports

Supporting internal and external audit requirements

About You

Previous Accounts Payable experience is essential

Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data

Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities

Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

Part-qualified studies are welcomed but not essential
