Assistant Accountant
Location: Haymarket, Edinburgh
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Reed Accountancy are working with a fast growing business who are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role would see the successful candidate working closely with the Finance Manager in supporting month-end processes.
Maintaining month-end processes
Posting journals and maintaining fixed-asset registers
Managing prepayments and accruals
Performing balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Managing company payroll processing
Handling daily banking duties
Reconciling bank accounts
Managing payment runs
Driving continuous improvement initiatives
Experience in a similar accounting role
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in financial systems
Hybrid working
