Assistant Accountant | Liverpool | £32,000 plus study support

A global PLC in Liverpool is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This organisation has a large finance team with a variety of different roles, so for someone who is studying towards their qualifications, it's a great environment to learn and progress.

Reporting into a Divisional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for

Assisting in the production of management accounts and reporting, putting together the P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow

Monthly forecasting

VAT returns

Supporting with monthly payroll and posting journal

Accruals and prepayments

Support wider finance teams with reports and analysis on an ad hoc basis

For this Assistant Accountant role, you must have

Experience working in a fast paced business in a similar role with month end exposure (accruals and prepayments)

Ideally be AAT qualified (late AAT studier/early stages CIMA/ACCA studier will also be considered)

Ability to work well under pressure in a deadline driven environment

Excellent communication skills

Strong Excel and analytical skills

A good team player, who can also work well individually

Strong attention to detail

Well organised and good prioritisation skills

For this role, the successful applicant will get

£32,000 salary
