Description

Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes within the organisation.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Provide support for audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.

Monitor and review financial data to identify trends and insights.

Assist with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as required by the Accounting & Finance team.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have

Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role within the retail industry.

A strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

An analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.

A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).

Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Offer
