The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a successful international organisation experiencing continued growth.

This role will suit a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their accounting, reconciliation and analytical skills within a large, multi-entity business.

Working as part of an established finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing, reconciliation and reporting of financial transactions whilst supporting month-end activities and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

Key Responsibilities

Processing and matching supplier invoices.

Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies.

Ensuring costs are accurately coded and allocated.

Performing balance sheet reconciliations.

Reviewing and analysing financial transactions.

Supporting month-end reporting and close processes.

Assisting with accruals and prepayments.

Maintaining strong financial controls and accurate records.

Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries.

Supporting internal and external audit requirements.

Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

Requirements

Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant or Finance role.

AAT Level 4 qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent experience.

Strong reconciliation experience.

Advanced Excel skills.

Experience working within a high-volume finance environment.

Knowledge of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

A proactive approach and willingness to improve processes.

Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
