We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team. Description
As Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance function across day-to-day accounting activities, month-end processes, reporting, and reconciliations. You will work closely with senior finance staff and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
Preparing bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments
Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities
Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting
Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls
Profile
Around 2 years' experience within a finance or accounts role
AAT qualified or currently studying CIMA/AAT
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Confident using Excel and accounting systems
Eager to learn and progress within an accounting career
Positive attitude with strong communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
