Accounts Senior Bristol £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our client, a leading South West based Accountancy Practice, is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their highly regarded and established team. This opportunity offers flexible hybrid working options.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven accounting professional to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including legal sector businesses, while developing their technical expertise across accounts preparation, audit, tax, and advisory services.

The responsibilities

Prepare year-end accounts and financial statements for a varied client base

Support audit planning, testing, and completion activities

Produce management accounts and financial reports

Assist with tax returns and VAT compliance work

Complete bookkeeping tasks and account reconciliations

Analyse financial data to support client decisions

Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues

Manage workloads to meet deadlines and quality standards

Identify issues and provide practical solutions

Support and mentor junior team members where required

The candidate

AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified or part-qualified with practice experience

Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment

Confident managing a varied workload across accounts and audit assignments

Strong technical accounting skills with good software knowledge

Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach

Legal sector experience and knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules advantageous but not essential.
