Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Preparation, review and finalisation of monthly and quarterly management accounts

Supporting year-end close processes, including liaison with external auditors where required

Managing day-to-day client relationships, responding to accounting and compliance queries in a timely and professional manner

Working with the team across UK and UAE

Hands on bookkeeping and reviewing of work and ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards

Assisting with internal reporting, workflow management, and technology-driven continuous improvement initiatives

Assisting with UK VAT and Corporate Tax compliance requirements

Providing guidance and oversight to junior team members where required

Candidate Profile

Practical accounting experience

Strong hands-on bookkeeping experience

Understanding of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs

Exposure to UK GAAP is advantageous

Experience preparing management accounts and statutory accounts

Confident using cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)

Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis

Practical experience with automation tools and/or AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, reporting, or data handling

Ability to identify manual or inefficient processes and propose smarter, scalable solutions

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong client-facing communication skills

Experience working with cross-border teams

Prior experience within private equity investments, commodity markets, or broader financial services is considered an advantage
