Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a high-profile commercial organisation.
This role sits within a Commercial Finance team and requires someone who can quickly get up to speed, work independently and build strong relationships across the business. You will play a key role in month-end reporting, revenue accounting, budgeting and forecasting, while partnering with senior commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making. Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Manage revenue recognition and associated accounting processes.
Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Account for overheads, sales bonus and commission-related costs.
Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial commentary.
Support budgeting, forecasting and risks and opportunities (R&O) reporting.
Partner with Commercial and Sales teams, providing financial guidance and responding to business queries.
Present monthly financial performance, cost updates and forecast positions to senior stakeholders.
Liaise with external partners and third-party providers to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting and financial controls.
Candidate Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
Proven management accounting experience within a commercial finance environment.
Strong month-end close experience is essential.
Excellent understanding of revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments and cost accounting.
Confident managing stakeholder relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
