UX / Product Designer - Contract | London (Hybrid)
We're working with a fast-growing UK FinTech business currently building out a suite of new digital lending products. They're using an AI-assisted development workflow and moving fast - coding kicks off imminently, and they need a designer in place now to remove a bottleneck in the UX piece.
This is a hands-on contract role working directly with the Head of Product and a close-knit product and engineering team.
The Role
You'll be responsible for translating product thinking into Figma screens that feed directly into the development pipeline. The team has the strategy and the engineering capability - what they need is someone who can produce clean, well-structured UX design output at pace, working within an AI-assisted build environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Producing Figma wireframes, prototypes, and screen designs to brief
Working closely with product and engineering to ensure designs are dev-ready
Contributing to a new digital branch solution currently in the prototyping phase
Collaborating within an AI-assisted workflow - the team uses tools including Figma, Lovable, and cloud-based development platforms
What We're Looking For
Strong Figma skills - this is non-negotiable
A solid UX foundation with the ability to work from strategic direction without needing heavy hand-holding
Comfortable in a fast-moving, prototype-phase environment where priorities can shift
AI-literate - familiarity with AI-assisted design or development tooling is a genuine advantage
FinTech or similarly regulated sector experience is desirable but not essential
Junior to mid-level profiles considered - the team has senior product leadership in place
