This is the job This is a chance to shape how The AA prices and grows its emerging tyre proposition, with your work directly influencing customer value, revenue and margin.
Based within Roadside, you'll own end-to-end tyre pricing and help develop the commercial proposition across roadside, B2C and B2B channels. You'll translate manufacturer, wholesaler, delivery and fitting costs, market movements and competitor pricing into clear, controlled pricing and product decisions.
You'll also shape product ranges, supplier economics, rebates and proposition roadmaps, partnering across Tyre Network, Finance, Procurement, Digital, Operations, Sales and Marketing. What will I be doing?
Own the end-to-end tyre pricing model, converting supplier, delivery and fitting costs into competitive sell-out prices that support revenue, margin and customer value.
Set and maintain pricing rules across tyres, brands, suppliers, fulfilment tiers, customer channels and service scenarios so pricing is applied consistently across customer journeys.
Monitor supplier price files, market movements and competitor pricing, recommending timely changes that protect competitiveness and commercial performance.
Analyse and reconcile rebates, volume incentives, marketing support and other commercial terms so earned value is accurately forecast, claimed and realised.
Build commercial scenarios and business cases covering volume, penetration, selling price, cost-to-serve, margin and rebate assumptions to support proposition and investment decisions.
Define and govern the tyre product catalogue and lead the development of B2C and B2B propositions, using customer, market and operational insight to shape ranges, service options, fulfilment and commercial models.
Partner with cross-functional teams to launch and optimise propositions, strengthen pricing controls and performance reporting, and ensure accurate product, cost and pricing data supports ecommerce, booking, payment and management information.
What do I need? You'll Bring
Relevant experience in commercial pricing, product analysis, revenue management, category management or commercial finance.
Strong understanding of pricing architecture, product cost build-up, sell-out pricing, gross margin, contribution, rebates, incentives and commercial accruals.
Advanced analytical and financial-modelling capability, with the ability to turn complex supplier and product data into clear commercial recommendations.
Proven experience managing large product and price files, including data validation, exception management and controlled price changes.
Experience developing and managing B2C and B2B commercial propositions from customer need and product design through launch, performance review and continuous improvement.
Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders across functions, supported by advanced Microsoft Excel and strong PowerPoint capability.
Nice to Have
Commercial awareness of tyre brands, product tiers, wholesalers, fitting networks or the automotive aftermarket supply chain.
Experience with BI tools, pricing systems, ecommerce platforms, SAP or product-information systems.
A related business, finance, economics, mathematics, commercial or analytical qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
