As part of a highly regarded Corporate Tax practice, the Treasury Tax team supports clients on some of the most technically challenging areas of tax. The team works closely with businesses undertaking financing transactions, restructurings, acquisitions and international expansion, offering commercially focused advice on complex treasury-related tax matters.
Description
Provide technical advice on treasury tax matters, including loan relationships, derivative contracts and related corporate tax issues.
Support clients and internal tax teams on financing transactions, restructurings, refinancing projects and M&A activity.
Advise on areas including Corporate Interest Restriction, anti-hybrid legislation, withholding taxes and distributions.
Undertake detailed technical research and translate complex legislation into practical commercial advice.
Assist with tax authority enquiries, audits, compliance matters and broader advisory projects.
Build strong working relationships with tax specialists and colleagues across the wider business.
Contribute to knowledge sharing, internal training and technical development initiatives.
Support the continued growth and development of the specialist Treasury Tax offering.
Profile
ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent professionally qualified.
Strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge.
Experience advising on complex tax matters within practice, industry or a specialist advisory environment.
Exposure to treasury tax matters would be advantageous, though a strong desire to develop expertise in this area is equally important.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legislation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Collaborative, commercially minded and motivated to develop within a specialist area.
