Transactional Finance Supevisor

A growing professional services business based in Halifax is looking to recruit a Transactional Finance Supervisor to join its finance team. Reporting to a qualified Finance Manager, this role offers a great opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to step into a supervisory position and develop their career.

The Role

You will take ownership of the day-to-day transactional finance function, overseeing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This is a hands-on role where you will ensure processes run smoothly, support the wider finance team, and drive improvements in efficiency and controls. The role is open to a career move from practice or industry.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Oversee invoicing, collections, supplier payments, and reconciliations

Support month-end processes related to transactional finance

Review work completed by junior team members

Identify and implement process improvements

Assist with queries from internal stakeholders and external clients

Ensure strong financial controls and adherence to procedures

About You

AAT qualified (or close to completion)

Experience within practice or industry

Looking to take a first step into a supervisory position

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Confident communicator with a proactive approach

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
