Trainee Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Audit & Accounts to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm based in Harrogate.

This is an ideal opportunity for an A-level leaver or graduate looking to build a long-term career in accountancy, with full training and ACA study support provided. You will gain valuable experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients while developing both your technical accounting and audit skills.

The Role Working closely with experienced members of the team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accountancy and audit work, including:

Assisting with the preparation of accounts for a variety of clients.

Supporting the delivery of external audits from planning through to completion.

Preparing basic tax computations and returns.

Carrying out accounts and audit testing and investigating any issues identified.

Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounting duties as required.

Developing strong relationships with clients and gaining an understanding of their businesses.

Working as part of a supportive team while progressively taking on more responsibility.

The Person The firm is keen to hear from candidates who are genuinely interested in developing a career in accountancy. You could be:

An A-level leaver looking to start a career in professional services.

A graduate with a relevant degree or a strong interest in accountancy.

Someone with some previous office or accounts experience who is keen to progress.

Strong numeracy, attention to detail and good communication skills are important.

Most importantly, you will be enthusiastic, committed and keen to learn.
