The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Technology Assurance Director to join a growing national chartered accountants in their Glasgow office.

The Role

You will work at the forefront of technology risk, providing strategic direction, delivering high-quality assurance services, and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across a diverse client base.

This is a senior leadership role and you will play a pivotal part in shaping and expanding the Technology Assurance offering, leading complex client engagements, and developing high-performing teams.

Main responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Provide leadership and oversight of Technology Assurance engagements across the UK

Support the strategic direction and growth of the Technology Assurance service line

Lead the delivery of IT Internal Audit, IT External Audit and broader technology assurance services

Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical, delivery and commercial matters

Client Leadership & Business Development

Build and maintain senior client relationships

Contribute to business development, proposals and go-to-market initiatives

Identify opportunities to expand technology risk and advisory services

Provide strategic insight to strengthen clients’ technology governance and control environments

People & Culture

Lead, mentor and develop Managers, Senior Managers and emerging leaders

Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance culture

Support talent development, retention and succession planning

Contribute to recruitment, performance management and capability building

Ideal candidate

Extensive experience in technology assurance, IT audit or related advisory services

Proven leadership experience within a professional services or consulting environment

Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting business growth

Demonstrated ability to lead complex engagements and manage senior client relationships

A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development and delivery excellence
