⭐ Our Risk team
We are looking for an Operational, Technology and Information Security Risk Senior Manager in the second line of defence to provide independent oversight, challenge and advisory support on the effectiveness of our operational, technology, resilience and information security risk management practices across the EU.
You will be a key member of the second line risk management team and work closely with senior stakeholders across first line technology, information security and operational resilience, to ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed, monitored, and managed in line with Monzo's risk management framework and appetite.
This role requires a proactive and strategic mindset, strong technology risk management expertise, and a deep understanding of operational resilience and digital banking operations.
This role reports to the Director of Operational Risk, Monzo Europe.
The role you are applying for is a Controlled Function within the meaning of the Central Bank Reform Act, 2010. For this role, appointment will be conditional on Monzo being fully satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity Standards issued by the Central Bank of Ireland. As a CF, the role holder will be subject to Conduct Standards under the Central Bank of Ireland Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) and will be required to take reasonable steps to ensure that the relevant conduct standards are met.

Acting as the second line subject matter expert for operational risk, technology (ICT and security risk (including cyber)), and operational resilience.
Reviewing and challenging the design and effectiveness of controls over key technology systems, digital infrastructure.
Providing effective oversight and challenge of first line risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), incident management and reporting, issue remediation and risk mitigation processes.
Providing second line input into our technology and security strategies and business continuity planning.
Supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of our Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF), policies, standards and associated ICT, Security and Resilience policies and risk appetite metrics.
Co-ordinating second line assurance reviews and risk deep dives into critical operational and technology areas, providing actionable recommendations and insights.
Overseeing ongoing compliance with the digital operational resilience act (DORA) in the EU and ensuring alignment with applicable local regulatory standards.
Preparing operational and technology risk reports and providing updates to relevant governance forums, including risk committees and senior management.
