Technical Product Manager

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. This role involves managing a cloud-based occupancy data platform hosted within AWS, which integrates data from multiple sources to generate occupancy insights and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bridge business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that the product development aligns with strategic objectives and delivers tangible business outcomes.
Own and manage the product backlog, aligning priorities with business objectives and delivery capacity.
Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities.
Translate stakeholder requirements into clear epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Make prioritisation decisions based on value, risk, dependencies, and technical considerations.
Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, facilitating workshops, backlog refinement sessions, and decision-making forums.
Work closely with architects, engineers, data specialists, and delivery managers to support successful delivery.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
Monitor and manage delivery risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints.
Prepare and present delivery reporting, roadmap updates, and stakeholder briefings.
Active SC Clearance.
Demonstrable experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Technical Product Owner within complex cloud, digital, or data-driven programmes.
Strong experience defining epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including architects, software engineers, platform engineers, and data specialists.
Strong understanding of cloud-native platforms and modern software delivery practices.
Experience delivering data-centric products, platforms, integrations, or analytics solutions.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to engage senior business and technical audiences.
Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable: AWS platform experience, experience with IoT, smart building technologies, or sensor-driven platforms.
