Our client, a national technology company, is seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Engineer to support high-quality engineering across a modern, scalable software platform. This role sits within a fast-paced, collaborative environment and offers strong exposure to architecture, modern tooling and complex technical challenges.
Contribute to solution architecture in partnership with senior engineers and the Head Architect
Support the creation and presentation of technical approaches and proposed solutions
Produce clear, high-level documentation for agreed technical implementations
Participate in solution design sessions, design workshops and peer code reviews
Write high-quality, well-tested production code and assist with refactoring legacy components
Apply best-practice development techniques, including design patterns and coding standards
Contribute to user story creation, acceptance criteria, estimation and testing
Fully engage in agile ceremonies: planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the platform and business needs
Support and collaborate with colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to team capability
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java Spring, microservices architecture and event-driven systems using Kafka. You will demonstrate the ability to build robust, scalable and highly available solutions, with hands-on experience across Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB and modern observability tooling.
A solid grounding in design patterns, Domain-Driven Design and front-end development—ideally React—is important, along with the ability to produce production-quality code with solid test coverage. Strong communication skills, proactive ownership, transparency and a solution-focused mindset are essential in this high-tempo, collaborative engineering culture.
