Technical Business Analyst - Global Bank, London - 12 month FTC A global bank with a London branch is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to join its Fintech team, reporting to the Deputy Head of Fintech and working closely with the IT Project Manager. This is a hands on role: you'll be writing code yourself, not just documenting requirements for someone else to build. What you'll be doing
Gathering and shaping business requirements, then turning them into technical specs the dev team can build from
Mapping workflows and assessing how new requests will land on existing systems
Acting as the main link between business teams and developers, so you can hold your own on both sides
Writing your own scripts and Python programs to automate repetitive BAU tasks
Using SQL to pull and check data, testing APIs, and sanity checking technical feasibility with the architects
Helping troubleshoot issues for internal users
Coordinating with Desktop, Infrastructure and Network teams to get solutions delivered end to end
Pitching in on releases and rollouts, with occasional out of hours cover if something breaks
What they're looking for
Python and SQL are non negotiable, not nice to haves
Solid debugging and troubleshooting instincts
Some previous IT support background
A track record of working well as part of a team
Degree preferred
Several years of relevant development or BA experience, ideally with some banking or corporate exposure
At least 3 years' work experience in the UK
Able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship, as this role can't support it
Practical details
Five days a week in the office
Free lunch provided when you're in
Get in touch if this sounds like a fit.
