Technical Accountant

TECHNICAL ACCOUNTANT – 6 MONTH CONTRACT

We are recruiting for a Technical Accountant to join the finance team of a leading Liverpool-based organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The role will have a strong focus on year-end accounting, audit preparation and technical accounting support, making it ideal for an experienced accountant who can hit the ground running.

Key responsibilities

Supporting the year-end accounts process

Preparing information and schedules for external audit

Assisting with audit queries and providing supporting documentation

Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and accounting schedules

Supporting technical accounting requirements and financial reporting

Assisting with month-end and year-end journals

Working closely with the wider Finance team to ensure deadlines are met

Identifying and resolving accounting issues

We are looking for

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

Strong technical accounting knowledge

Previous year-end and audit experience

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

Able to work independently and liaise confidently with auditors and senior finance colleagues

Available to commit to a 6-month contract
