This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining financial accounting with finance systems, reporting and process improvement. The role offers significant exposure to business transformation initiatives, finance technology and automation projects, whilst retaining involvement in core accounting activities.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, this position will act as a key link between Finance, Systems and Business Transformation teams.

The role provides an ideal blend of technical finance, systems optimisation and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the finance systems lead, driving the effective use, development and optimisation of finance platforms and reporting tools.

Support system enhancements, upgrades, testing and implementation projects.

Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency and process improvement.

Enhance reporting capabilities and improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of financial data.

Develop and maintain reporting models and management information tools.

Support the integration of automation and emerging technologies into finance processes.

Assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, journals and financial analysis.

Support internal controls, governance and finance process documentation.

Deliver training and guidance to finance users to maximise system capabilities and adoption.

About You

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong understanding of finance systems, financial reporting and accounting processes.

You will ideally possess

Experience within a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, Reporting or Finance Transformation role.

Strong Excel skills, including advanced reporting and data analysis.

Knowledge of ERP systems, planning tools and business intelligence platforms.

Experience improving finance processes, controls and reporting frameworks.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.

Salary range of £60,000-£65,000 + bonus of up to 15% _ excellent benefits
