The new Force For Good Business Implementation team is responsible for national implementation of Sustainability strategies, adherence to national and international policies and processes, and compliance of sustainability regulation either directly within the team, or through relevant stakeholders/departments.
As a specialist within the team, you will need to support the Force For Good Business Implementation manager, the international central team, and both GB/IE markets with mandatory sustainability reporting, monitor regulatory developments, stakeholder coordination, and communication. You will also need to be confident with Aldi product and supplier approval systems to ensure compliance but also provide sustainability guidance and instructions to suppliers on Aldi standards and policies.
Strong collaboration skills will be required with the Force For Good Systems Change team (responsible for delivering Force For Good Non-financial KPIs) to ensure duplication of effort, or communication channels, is avoided. The specialist will also need to work closely with the Force For Good Systems Change team to embed the BAU administration that results from Systems Change Projects once launched.
This role focuses on cross-functional business integration, embedding sustainability across different functions. Therefore, the candidate needs to be confident in sustainability regulatory knowledge to propose implementation approaches, provide advice, and drive compliance. This requires the ability to work autonomously and to develop strategy and advise the Manager independently.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to balance multiple “asks” are required, as well as an ability to demonstrate effective horizon scanning for regulation. Due to the scope of responsibility within the role, the candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have experience in flexing between different topics and specialisms.
The best candidate will have an awareness of current Sustainability legislation, impact on Aldi and proven experience in implementing regulation requirements across a wide range of stakeholders.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop within the business and play a key part in shaping the future of Aldi globally. Ready for more? Apply to join #TeamAldi today!
