Salary: £30,000 per annum

Overview
Pet Brands is a leading designer and distributor within the pet products industry, supplying retailers with a comprehensive range of premium brands and pet care essentials.
We are seeking a highly organised, commercially aware Supply Chain Coordinator to manage the flow of goods from suppliers through to customers. This is a fast-paced, operational role requiring strong ownership, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
This role is best suited to candidates who are confident working with data, experienced in managing purchase orders end-to-end, and have a solid understanding of import/export processes, Far East factories, and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Order & Supplier Management
Raise, manage, and track purchase orders end-to-end
Ensure all POs are placed accurately and followed through to delivery
Proactively chase suppliers to confirm lead times, resolve delays, and mitigate risks
Ensure orders are booked and shipped in line with required timelines
Inventory & Stock Control
Monitor stock levels to maintain availability in line with demand
Identify and escalate risks to availability early
Investigate stock discrepancies and support stock accuracy initiatives
Work closely with planning to manage slow-moving or at-risk stock
Logistics, Imports & Delivery Coordination
Manage inbound shipments, including import/export processes and documentation
Work with freight forwarders to ensure smooth customs clearance
Coordinate direct-to-customer shipments under FOB terms
Track shipments and ensure timely receipt into the warehouse or delivery to customer
Resolve delays, customs issues, and logistics challenges proactively
Data, Costing & System Management
Maintain accurate product, pricing, and PO data within internal systems
Develop and manage landed cost calculations, including freight, duties, and currency impact
Understand and manage how freight rates and currency exchange fluctuations affect margin and cost
Use Excel and ERP systems to analyse and manage supply chain data
Commercial Planning & Analysis
Use Excel to review sales performance and support forward planning decisions
Contribute to demand planning through data-driven insights
Support stock and purchasing decisions with a strong commercial mindset
Continuous Improvement
Identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements
Support KPI tracking and performance reporting
Contribute to improving supplier performance and internal processes

Experience & Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supply chain or purchasing role (essential)
Proven experience raising and managing purchase orders end-to-end
Solid experience with import/export procedures and working with freight forwarders
Strong understanding of
FOB / international shipping terms
Customs clearance processes
Landed cost calculations (including freight, duty, and currency impact)
Strong Excel skills (essential)
VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
Pivot Tables
Ability to analyse large datasets and support planning decisions
Experience using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Netsuite, Oracle, or similar)
Experience in FMCG, distribution, or a high-volume product environment (preferred)
Screening & Selection Process
To ensure a high standard of candidates
Applicants will be required to complete a practical assessment
This will include
Excel/data analysis task (including lookups and pivot tables)
Scenario-based supply chain problem solving
Basic landed cost / margin understanding
Only candidates demonstrating the required level of competence will progress to interview.
