£35,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time, permanent
Working hours: 8:15am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (flexibility available on start and finish times)

Mpeople Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing business in the Oldham area, who are looking to appoint a Strategic HR Partner.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in an HR Business Partner or People Partner role, or for a seasoned HR Advisor ready to progress into a more strategic, partnering-focused position.
Working closely with senior leaders, the role focuses on delivering a proactive and commercially aligned HR service, supporting the full employee lifecycle and driving effective people strategies across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business leaders to align people strategies with organisational goals
Act as a trusted advisor on talent, leadership, performance, and organisational structure
Analyse HR data to identify trends and support performance and engagement improvements
Provide practical, compliant solutions to complex people-related challenges
Build strong relationships to coach, support, and develop leadership capability
Review and enhance HR policies, processes, and best practice approaches
Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and development initiatives
Act as a key HR contact for managers, providing high-quality guidance and support
Work alongside site-based HR teams to proactively resolve employee matters
Manage employee relations cases, including investigations and disciplinary processes
Drive engagement, wellbeing, and diversity, equality & inclusion initiatives
Lead performance management processes and continuous improvement activities
Support the development of management capability through a hands-on approach
Keep up to date with external trends to improve HR practices and tools
CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 (or currently studying towards)
Previous experience in an HR partnering role, or at HR Advisor level with progression ambition
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels
Experience supporting organisational change
Ability to build trusted, effective working relationships across the business
Strategic and commercially aware approach to HR
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proven experience handling complex employee relations matters with solid employment law knowledge
Ability to identify risks and opportunities relating to people management
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience within manufacturing or a similar industrial setting
Exposure to working with international or European teams
Experience within a unionised environment
