About the organisation

Our client is passionate about helping people live independently, safely and confidently in their own homes. As a leading provider of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and personal alarm services, the organisation supports thousands of customers and works closely with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, NHS organisations and other partners to deliver preventative care solutions that make a real difference.

To support growth, our client is looking for a high-energy, target-driven sales hunter-someone who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities and converting complex prospects into long-term contracts.

The Role (This is a Hunter Sales / BD Role)

This role is focused on new business acquisition, not account management. The Strategic Business Development Manager will proactively generate and convert opportunities across Local Authorities and Housing Associations (as well as NHS/ICBs and other strategic markets). The successful candidate will bring strong sales discipline, be confident with outbound prospecting, and have the resilience and commercial skills to succeed through longer, public sector decision cycles.

What You'll Be Doing

Proactively source, prospect and qualify new opportunities aligned to the organisation's growth strategy

Build pipeline through outbound sales activity, networking, market mapping and targeted engagement plans

Win new business across Local Authorities, Housing Associations, NHS and ICBs, taking ownership from first contact to contract award

Build relationships with senior stakeholders, commissioners and procurement teams, influencing buying decisions

Shape compelling customer propositions, business cases and solutions that demonstrate clear value and outcomes

Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and contract development

Support and influence tenders and bid submissions with customer insight, win strategy and stakeholder intel

Work closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, Product and Bid Management to secure and deliver wins

Track procurement pipelines, competitor activity and market trends to spot and create opportunities early

Maintain accurate CRM/pipeline management and provide reliable forecasting against targets

Ensure a smooth handover of awarded contracts into mobilisation and ongoing account management

Proven sales and business development experience, with evidence of winning new business (hunter profile)

Desirable

Experience/knowledge of adult social care, TEC/telecare, housing, health or preventative care services

Why Join Our Client?

A genuinely purpose-led role where wins directly improve independent living and community outcomes

Autonomy to shape pipeline, partnerships and growth strategy

Supportive, collaborative culture with development opportunities
