The role
We need a hands-on CapEx procurement expert, not a generalist. You'll lead strategic sourcing for capital investments across HelloFresh's European production sites: machinery, automated lines, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and facility build-outs. You'll be embedded with Engineering and Operations from spec to handover, owning multi-million euro decisions. This role reports to the Director Indirect Procurement.
We are looking for an ambitious, confident, entrepreneurial, and high-spirited Procurement professional with a strength for data processing, optimisation & reporting, ability to navigate ambiguity, attention to detail and great stakeholder management ability.
What you’ll do
Own end-to-end CapEx sourcing: supplier market mapping, RFx execution, negotiation, and contract award for high-value capital projects
Develop a multi-year CapEx category strategy covering production machinery, conveyors & MHE, cold storage, and building fit-outs
Lead Total Cost of Ownership modelling and investment scenario analysis with Engineering and Finance
Drive Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) to influence specs and design-to-cost outcomes before projects are locked
Build and manage the supplier portfolio across Hello Fresh’s markets: qualification, performance tracking, and continuous improvement
Partner with Project Management and Site Operations from inception through commissioning — not just at the buying stage
Monitor equipment markets, supplier landscape, and technology trends relevant to food production and logistics
Support broader Procurement Ops team, if necessary, in MRO, Facilities Management, Utilities, etc. projects.
What you’ll bring
6+ years in procurement, with at least 3–4 years of dedicated CapEx category ownership
Proven track record sourcing capital equipment: production machinery, automated systems, conveyors/MHE, or equivalent industrial CapEx
Engineering degree or equivalent technical background strongly preferred: you need to sp
