About the job

This position is needed to to develop the future platform of communications. Twilio SMS Engineering is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team to work on our SMS connectivity layer with the purpose to build and optimize for delivery. You will be developing a complex distributed platform in Java and be concerned with availability, throughput, latency, and data integrity. At the core are cloud technologies that enable deployment and management of computing resources globally.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll

Design, develop, test and deploy features alongside an experienced, distributed collaborative team

Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Work independently to troubleshoot/determine resolution for issues in your team's domain

Managing your work through the use of Github, Jira, and our build/deploy systems

Ensure quality by writing unit-, integration- and load-tests

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
