Job Description

This is Adyen

Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.

For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.

Tokenization Core

The Tokenization team is the engine behind seamless recurring payments on the Adyen platform. We empower everything from one-click checkouts to global subscription services by securely storing and managing payment details. The services maintained by our team are critical - roughly 20% of all online payments at Adyen rely on our systems to be processed successfully.

Beyond core tokenization, we also build and maintain the foundation for key Adyen Uplift products like Network Tokenization and Account Updater. Our work directly contributes to higher authorization rates and a better payment experience for our merchants.

What You'll Do

As an engineer on our team, you'll have full ownership of the features you build, from initial design to deployment and live monitoring. You'll be a problem-solver shaping a core part of Adyen's platform.

Design and build solutions for highly scalable and reliable distributed systems that are central to Adyen's success.

Collaborate closely with your team, Product Managers, and other engineering teams across the Uplift and Payments teams to refine and implement your ideas.

Take end-to-end ownership, seeing your work through the entire development lifecycle.

Uphold our high standards for system health by implementing robust monitoring, defining SLOs, and creating effective alerting.
