What is The Role

The Platform Engineering Productivity team provides the foundation for Elastic teams to develop, build, test, and release their software at scale. We empower them to be efficient and independent by providing realistic and reliable developer environments. We’re continuously evolving our workflow and increasingly pushing boundaries toward Continuous Delivery and Continuous Quality models. Not only this, but we are also working on delivering secure solutions to our customers by overcoming vulnerabilities introduced into our cloud and CI/CD environments via third-party dependencies that could lead to an exploit or breach of our software supply chain.

Our productivity infrastructure is powered by technologies such as Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Buildkite, common Cloud service providers (GCP/AWS), signing technology (GPG, Sigstore, and notarization), and languages such as Java, Go, and Python.

To grow and operate at scale, teams need control over the end-to-end software development cycle for their services. The Engineering Productivity organization acts as an enabling function, providing a framework, reusable components, and guidelines that teams can adopt and operate.
