Service Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading machine tool and advanced manufacturing business seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of high-performance 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres across the UK and, where required, internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable engineer with strong CNC knowledge to join a growing organisation working with cutting-edge machining technology across aerospace, automotive, medical, precision engineering, and manufacturing environments.

The Role

Install, commission, and service 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres at customer sites

Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown support on CNC machine tools

Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software faults efficiently

Support machine alignments, calibrations, spindle checks, and geometric accuracy testing

Provide technical support and training to customers when required

Complete detailed service reports and documentation following each visit

Work closely with internal technical support and engineering teams

Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and automation integration projects

Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and customer expectations

Travel throughout the UK and internationally as required

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working as a CNC Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or similar

Strong understanding of CNC machining centres, particularly 3-axis and 5-axis machines

Ability to fault-find across electrical and mechanical systems

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

Excellent customer-facing and communication skills

Full UK driving licence

Passport and willingness to travel internationally
