Job Description

Senior QA Automation Engineers

Multiple UK locations: Brighton, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London, Manchester - You can be based anywhere in UK providing you are willing to attend an office 1-2 days per month. £70,000 - £93,000 base salary SC Clearance eligibility required

You'll work on a mix of cloud and on-premises projects across high-performance Java platforms, contributing to modern, high-quality solutions from concept to delivery.

You'll have the freedom to influence how you work, adopt the latest tools and technologies, and collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines.

What you'll be doing

Hands-on delivery across all aspects of software testing

Design and execute test scenarios and scripts, including data preparation with external/3rd-party systems

Shape and implement test automation strategies using Java, Scala, .NET, or JavaScript and techniques like TDD/BDD

Lead by example, mentoring junior engineers, supporting wellbeing, and driving professional growth

Influence design and project planning sessions with strong stakeholder communication

Skills & experience

Hands-on experience with automated test frameworks (Cucumber, JUnit)

Knowledge of stubbing/mocking (Wiremock)

Experience in API, functional, and system testing

Understanding of non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility)

Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile delivery

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
