Job Description

WHO WE ARE

SumUp enables businesses to get paid easily, process orders quickly, sell online instantly, and have full control over their money. We create the tools businesses need to make their business and their customer experience thrive. And we love it!

Team description

The Payments tribe is at the heart of what SumUp does - processing payments for over 4 million small businesses across 37 markets. Within the Processing product family, the analytics function plays a critical role in helping product and engineering teams understand what's working, what isn't, and where the biggest opportunities lie. Right now, we have rich datasets and a growing analytical foundation, but the real challenge is turning that complexity into clear, trustworthy narratives that help people make faster, smarter decisions. This role aims to help us build a more resilient, scalable data culture within one of SumUp's most business-critical domains.

What you'll do

Redesign and simplify key Tableau dashboards so that non-expert stakeholders can answer "how are we doing?" and "why?" without needing analytical support

Define and iterate on KPI structures - establishing what to show, what to exclude, and how to sequence metrics so the story is immediately understandable

Build a lightweight insights cadence: recurring updates that interpret what changed, what it likely means, and what follow-up actions to consider

Establish scalable dashboard templates and self-serve patterns to keep reporting consistent and trustworthy as the team grows

Ramp into deep domain knowledge across Payments Processing to proactively surface risks, opportunities, and recommendations that shape product priorities

You'll be great for this role if you have

Strong hands-on experience with Tableau (or a comparable BI tool), backed by a portfolio that shows how dashboard complexity has been reduced through smart structure, drill-down design, and metric hierarchy

Solid SQL skills for analysis and validation, with
