About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Privileged Access Management (PAM) Consultant to join our Global System Integrator/Consultancy client. This is an exciting opportunity to support a strategic cloud security review initiative, focusing on understanding existing tooling, identifying gaps, and shaping future investment decisions.
You will play a key role in conducting a foundational assessment of the organisation’s current cloud security posture, including evaluating which tools are in place, what has and hasn’t been enabled, and how effectively Microsoft-native security capabilities are being utilised. This work will directly inform procurement decisions and broader security strategy. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will engage with technical teams, security stakeholders, and procurement functions to deliver meaningful insights. The role has an initial 6-month duration, with strong potential for extension and is a hybrid role based in London.
Conduct a comprehensive review of existing cloud security tooling and configurations
Assess which Microsoft security capabilities (including Defender suite) are enabled, optimised, or under utilised Analyse current cloud-native security controls and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement
Support tooling and procurement reviews to inform strategic investment decisions
Produce clear documentation and recommendations based on findings
Engage with technical teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate insights
Contribute to shaping future security initiatives, with potential transition into project delivery BA responsibilities
About You Must Have
Strong experience in either Cloud Security Engineering or Business Analysis within a security domain
Proven experience reviewing and assessing security tooling within enterprise environments
Solid understanding of Microsoft security ecosystem, particularly: Microsoft Defender (E3 / E5 licensing capabilities)
Experience conducting gap analysis, tooling assessments, or security posture reviews
Ability to translate technical findings into clear business recommendations
Experience working with stakeholders across security, engineering, and procurement functions
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice to Have
Experience working as a consultant within a Global System Integrator or consulting environment
Background in regulated industries (e.g. Financial Services, Government, Healthcare)
Experience contributing to security transformation or IAM/PAM uplift programmes
Knowledge of governance frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, SOX, GDPR)
CyberArk or other PAM vendor certifications
