Senior Manager

An ambitious accountancy practice are looking to appoint a commercially minded Senior Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, developing team members, and supporting Partners in driving the continued growth of the firm.

Your new role

Manage a substantial portfolio of business and personal tax clients.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Lead client meetings and provide proactive business advice.

Review accounts, tax returns, management accounts, and statutory reporting.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

Manage, mentor, and develop Managers, Assistant Managers, and trainees.

Conduct performance reviews and support career development plans.

Provide technical guidance and coaching across the team.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships.

Contribute to the firm's growth strategy and revenue targets.

Monitor workflow, budgets, recoverability, and WIP.

Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within deadlines.

Support the Partners with practice management initiatives.

Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the department.

What you'll need to succeed

ACA / ACCA qualified.

Significant experience within an accountancy practice environment.

Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients.

Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.

Experience leading and developing teams.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Commercially aware and client-focused approach.
