Senior Management Accountant

Robert Walters - Senior Management Accountant - Permanent - Hybrid - Birmingham - £60,000 per annum Our client, a growing and well-invested manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to lead reporting, drive insight, and partner closely with operations in a stock-intensive environment. This role offers strong visibility across the business and the opportunity to influence cost, controls, and performance.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant

Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and performance reporting.

Take ownership of stock accounting, controls, valuation, and reporting accuracy.

Provide detailed cost and margin analysis to support operational decision-making.

Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to improve financial understanding and accountability.

Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles with a strong focus on production and inventory.

Identify risks, opportunities, and efficiencies within manufacturing costs and stock processes.

Support year-end audit activity and statutory reporting requirements.

Mentor and support junior finance team members.

Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, controls, and processes.

Key essentials of the Senior Management Accountant

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).

Significant experience within manufacturing and stock-driven environments.

Strong leadership or mentoring experience within finance teams.

Excellent analytical and Excel skills.

Confident engaging senior stakeholders and translating data into insight.
