Reed Finance is partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Senior Management Accountant to join their established finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong finance professional to play a key role in supporting a significant development and investment programme. There is a requirement to be in the office only one day per week.
This role sits at the centre of a large-scale new build and development function, providing financial oversight, appraisal and insight to support strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with Development teams, Financial Planning and senior stakeholders, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful reporting across the programme.
This is a highly visible role with exposure to Executive and Board-level stakeholders, offering the opportunity to influence key investment and business decisions.
Lead financial appraisal and monitoring of the development and new build programme
Partner with Development teams to evaluate new project opportunities and investment cases
Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and reporting packs with detailed commentary
Produce budgets, forecasts and long-term business plans, including development projections
Provide financial insight, KPIs and trend analysis to support strategic decision-making
Contribute to Executive and Board reporting, delivering clear and concise financial analysis
Take ownership of statutory accounts, liaising with external auditors and advisors
Monitor development spend against budget, identifying risks, variances and key drivers
Ensure strong financial controls, compliance and reporting consistency
Continuously improve processes, reporting and financial oversight frameworks
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
Proven experience in management reporting within a complex group environment
Strong background in statutory accounts preparation and external audit liaison
Experience producing Board and Executive-level reporting
Demonstrable experience in financial appraisal and capital project evaluation
Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls
Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence and challenge effectively
