Senior Service Desk Engineer - MSP Huddersfield | On-site £30,000-£35,000 DoE + Benefits

A well-established and growing MSP based in Huddersfield is looking for a technically strong and client-focused Senior Service Desk Engineer to join their close-knit service desk team of 5. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid 2nd/3rd line experience who wants real variety, ownership of complex tickets, and a genuine route to develop within a stable, respected MSP.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver 2nd/3rd line support resolving escalated tickets from the wider service desk.

Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.

Support and maintain Hyper-V virtualised infrastructure.

Configure and manage networking equipment, with a focus on WatchGuard and Draytek firewalls.

Support LAN/WAN setups, VPNs, Wi-Fi solutions, and general network infrastructure.

Monitor and maintain client infrastructure via RMM platforms, including patching and backup verification.

Support Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware tooling, with exposure to SentinelOne beneficial.

Provide support across Windows and Mac environments (Mac exposure a bonus).

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, and mentor junior members of the service desk where needed.

What You'll Bring

Proven 2nd/3rd line experience within an MSP environment.

Heavy server experience, with strong Windows Server and Hyper-V knowledge.

Solid Microsoft 365 administration experience (Exchange Online, Azure, SharePoint).

Strong networking knowledge - firewalls, routing, VPNs, DNS, IP, topology.

Experience with WatchGuard and/or Draytek firewalls highly advantageous.

Exposure to SentinelOne or similar EDR/AV platforms beneficial.

Exposure to Mac OSX support beneficial.

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organisational skills.

Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively.

Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, WatchGuard etc) are a plus.

What's on Offer

Salary £30,000-£35,000 (depending on experience)

Working hours 8:00am-5:15pm, Monday-Friday

22 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 25 with length of service
