Senior Financial Analyst

One of my top, global law firm clients are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their London team. This role is a key part of the Finance team, supporting financial planning and analysis across multiple regions, primarily Europe and Asia, while collaborating with colleagues globally.

You will act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, delivering insight-driven financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance management.

Key Responsibilities in this Senior Financial Analyst role-

Partner with business leaders to understand performance drivers and provide actionable financial insights

Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across international teams

Deliver detailed profitability analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and year-on-year reviews

Prepare monthly reporting packs highlighting key performance indicators such as utilisation, leverage, and expenses

Conduct client and project-level profitability and break-even analysis

Support firm-wide initiatives such as revenue forecasting and annual planning processes

Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, making recommendations to leadership

Support strategic client management by providing financial insights and performance tracking

Review and validate headcount reporting and financial coding

Contribute to process improvements and best practice development within Finance

Assist with ad hoc analysis, projects, and reporting as required

Skills & Experience

Experience in financial analysis or a related field

Experience in a law firm/professional services is advantageous

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities

Understanding of financial controls and compliance principles
