Lead the Transactional Finance teams specifically the processing of payments in and payments out of the business. Working to automate and streamline within and across the teams, to ensure processes and procedures are efficient and well controlled. Demonstrate role model leadership and management skills and work cross-functionally in Finance. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance and will engage with Directors and Senior Management.
Responsibilities for the Finance Operations Team
Responsible for the accurate completion of all customer payment processing across various systems and business lines.
Effective management of suspense items and ensuring follow up for any corrective actions on variances or unknown items or transactions within the area.
Ensuring all customer payments in/out are fully reconciled daily and any discrepancies are investigated and cleared.
Management of credit balances in line with the local credit balance policy, ensuring compliance with Group and quarterly KPI reporting.
Daily review of Safeguarding reconciliation in line with policy.
Sound understanding of debit/credit card payments and associated transactions such as chargebacks and rejections.
Responsible for all assigned balance sheet reconciliations (including sensitive accounts) ensuring that they are performed as per the local and BNPP Personal Finance policy requirements. Full responsibility is to be taken to ensure compliance with the Sensitive Account policy.
Ensure segregation of duty is controlled and evidenced in all dual processes.
Leadership and Other Responsibilities
Line management and development of Finance Managers, support and guide where relevant.
Acting as an SME for business-wide workstreams relating to customer and company payments.
Relationship management for 3rd party suppliers - Payment Processing, Banking providers, P2P, etc
Work cross-functionally with other areas of the department where specific projects or tasks require (eg. external audit, payment enrichments project etc)
Introduce process improvements and automation, to achieve efficiencies and remove single points of failure across teams.
Ensure all policies and procedure controls are tested and evidence recorded for this.
To ensure that all legal, regulatory and statutory obligations are met within own area of responsibility and compliance is embedded within the business
