We're looking for a Senior Corporate Finance and Advisory Manager to join our team in Chartered Accountants' Hall. This role offers a salary of £87,000 - £95,000 and a hybrid working pattern.

Job Purpose

To prepare high quality technical and practical information for members, make policy representations and develop leading edge thinking on important technical issues (in both an international and domestic context).

What you will be doing;

Take lead responsibility for the composition of the technical committee, including recruitment and briefing of its members, and for consulting members on technical and practical issues, preparing representations to external parties, and ensuring efficient running of meetings and timely recording of minutes.

Take lead responsibility for the timely delivery of assigned projects within budget, leading projects that require high quality technical and practical thought leadership outcomes and/or guidance for chartered accountants on important technical issues.

Attend/convene meetings and events with key regulators, policymakers and government departments to discuss matters of common interest, ensuring the interests of members and the public interest are recognised at an early stage in future developments.

Deliver high quality technical information to members, for example by writing articles for Corporate Financier and icaew.com and preparing and presenting material at member events.

Network and build relationships with key players within stakeholder bodies (e.g. City of London Law Society, UK Finance, BVCA, QCA, London Stock Exchange, VCTA) as well as potential and existing members.

Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the needs of the business.

What you will need;

A qualified Chartered Accountant with strong technical experience in the field of corporate finance.

A good communicator who is able to be flexible and react quickly to rapidly changing demands from volunteers and senior management within the ICAEW.

Good project management skills are necessary, along with the ability to cope with pressure of work.
