Job Description

About the Role We're looking for a Senior Analyst, International Tax to take ownership of our tax operations across Spain, France, and Italy. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that spans the full breadth of tax — from compliance and reporting through to strategic advisory — making it an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a well-rounded in-house tax career. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant tax filings across CIT, VAT, WHT, and international reporting obligations such as CRS and FATCA. Alongside the day-to-day compliance work, you'll provide strategic, risk-aware tax advice to key stakeholders on topics including restructurings, new product launches, financing arrangements, and transfer pricing. Working closely with our head office in Berlin as part of a small, agile tax team, you'll have real ownership over your markets and direct access to decision-makers. You'll manage relationships with external advisors, coordinate with tax authorities, and support audits — all while helping N26 stay compliant, efficient, and fast-moving as we continue to grow. Our tax team is intentionally lean, and that's by design. It means faster decisions, greater autonomy, and genuine room to develop your expertise across multiple jurisdictions and disciplines. What You'll Be Doing Overseeing tax compliance across Spain, France, and Italy — including CIT, VAT, WHT, and international reporting (CRS, FATCA) — in close collaboration with external advisors. Providing thoughtful, risk-conscious tax advice to internal stakeholders on restructurings, new products, financing, and transfer pricing. Managing relationships with external tax partners and coordinating communication with local tax authorities. Leading the preparation for and management of external tax audits across your markets. Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen our tax operations as the business scales. What You Bring Experience & Education A minimum of 3+ years experience in tax, whether in consulting, advisory, or an in-house environment. A bachelor's or master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law, or an equivalent discipline. A solid foundation across core tax areas, or a genuine ambition to develop into a well-rounded tax professional across multiple domains. Experience with Workday as an ERP system is a plus but not essential. Professional-level English is required. Spanish is a strong asset, and French or Italian would be a welcome addition. Skills & Strengths Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax matters into clear, practical advice for non-technical stakeholders. A detail-oriented, highly organised approach with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in Excel and a natural affinity for automation and process improvement. Who You Are You're motivated, curious, and energised by the idea of owning your work end to end. You thrive in fast-paced environments where things move quickly and priorities can shift. You enjoy working across borders and navigating the complexity that comes with multi-jurisdictional tax. You take pride in delivering work that is both technically sound and practically useful. And you're excited by the opportunity to grow within a small, collaborative team where your contributions are visible and your development is genuinely supported. What’s in it for you: Accelerate your career growth by joining one of Europe’s most talked about disruptors 🚀. Employee benefits that range from a competitive personal development budget, work from home budget, discounts to fitness & wellness memberships, language apps and public transportation.
